SOR Ute's
the "Dusty Devil"

Our new pride and joy is a VS Holden Commodore Ute, affectionately known as the "Dusty Devil".  The Ute was originally built by Paul Pyyvaara to contest the Aussie Car Class in the Australian Rally Championship.  It then spent 5 years in Cairns before we tracked it down and brought it back to Toowoomba.
It recently went through a major face lift and revamp.
The new Ute has only just arrived, so more pics & details to come soon.
Details on the original build process can be found by visiting:

"JD" Ute
(Junior Devil)

We have a new ute in the SOR camp.  It is Jamie's 13 year old sons car, Jordan. Jordan's ute is a 1976 Datsun 1200.  It was purchase in April 2010 and we anticipate it to be up and running by December 2010.
It is currently stripped and ready for a roll cage installation.  Once the cage is in, we will begin painting and piecing it all back together. Apart from safety modifications, the ute will remain stock standard.
Jordan will compete in "JD" at AARG events at Hirstglen.
We will document the ute build process and progress on this page.

SOR TOYOTA GT4
(sold in 2009)

Motion Pic of GT4 at Yarraman (by Jordo)

Our chosen vehicle to drive our rally desire, is a 1990 Toyota Celica GT4.  It is 4wd, turbo charged with a 2ltr engine and 5 speed manual gear box.

It was bought off 2006 Queensland Rally Champion Glenn Brinkman.

The car has been a rally competitor, the bulk of its life and although 17 years old, still holds its own when push comes to shove.

In comparison to its rivals, the GT4 is relatively standard with the exception of some performance parts for reliability and strength.  Although the car is somewhat heavier and slower than others in the same class, our intention is to let reliability and consistency win out in the end.

Time will tell in more ways than one.
